About this app

Hand out unique voucher and coupon codes straight from the ticket. Load your discount codes, gift card numbers or license keys into pools once. When an agent needs one, they click Insert code in the ticket sidebar (or apply a macro) and the next unused code goes into the reply. Two agents clicking at the same moment never get the same code, and every code records who gave it to which ticket.

Vouchwell is built by Great Work LLC. It is not made or endorsed by Zendesk.

Never the same code twice

  • A real lock on every code. Handing out a code takes a lock record inside Zendesk first and checks it before the code is marked used, so simultaneous clicks from several agents always end with different codes.
  • Expiry dates. Codes close to their expiry date go out before later ones; codes past their date are never handed out.
  • Release by mistake. An agent who inserted a code they did not send can give it back for an hour (you choose how long). Admins can release or void any code.

For agents: one click, in the reply

  • Insert code puts the code at the cursor using each pool's own text, for example "Here is 15% off for the wait: {{code}} (valid until {{expires}})".
  • Macros: put [vouchwell:pool] in any macro. The sidebar fills it with a fresh code, and a reply with an unfilled placeholder cannot be submitted.
  • Guards: a per-ticket limit per pool, and a warning when the same customer already got a code from that pool recently.
  • Codes on this ticket are listed in the sidebar, and each pool adds its tag to the ticket for your views, triggers and reports.

For admins: pools, stock and a record of who gave what

  • Load codes by pasting them or reading a .txt or .csv file in your browser, with optional expiry dates. You preview the load first, and codes already in the pool are skipped.
  • Low-stock warnings per pool: agents see the count in the sidebar, admins see a banner, and the ticket that crosses the level gets the vouchwell_low_stock tag, so a trigger can tell you.
  • Who can hand out each pool: by group and, on Enterprise, by custom role.
  • Find a code to see who gave it, when and on which ticket, and Handed out lists every code given, by pool, agent or ticket.

Plan (billed monthly by Zendesk)

Standard: $199 a month per Zendesk account, any number of agents, pools and codes. Every feature is included. 14-day trial; Zendesk asks for a card at install and billing starts when the trial ends unless you uninstall.

Requirements

  • Zendesk Suite (any plan: Team, Growth, Professional, Enterprise) or Support Enterprise. Vouchwell keeps pools, codes and hand-outs in one custom object, and custom objects are only on those plans. Suite Team allows 3 custom objects per account; Vouchwell uses 1.
  • Each code is one small record. Records count toward your Zendesk custom object limits and data storage; Vouchwell shows your record count and limit before you load codes.

  • Admins and agents can use it out of the box on Team, Growth and Professional. On Enterprise, give custom roles view, add, edit and delete on the Vouchwell code object; light agents need the same if they should hand out codes.

Your data

Vouchwell runs entirely in your browser inside Zendesk. There is no Great Work server, no account to create and no API token to paste. Your codes are stored in your own Zendesk account, in the Vouchwell code custom object, and every call is made as the signed-in agent, with their permissions. Vouchwell keeps no copy of your codes or tickets, has no export or download, sends nothing to Great Work or anyone else (not even usage statistics), does no background work and uses no AI. Details are in the data access section and our privacy policy.

설치 방법

  1. Check your plan: Vouchwell needs Zendesk Suite (Team, Growth, Professional or Enterprise) or Support Enterprise, because it stores codes in a custom object. It uses 1 of the 3 custom objects Suite Team allows.

  2. Install Vouchwell from the Zendesk Marketplace and choose the Standard plan. The 14-day trial starts now; Zendesk asks for a card and starts billing when the trial ends unless you uninstall. Zendesk creates the "Vouchwell code" custom object during the install.

  3. Enterprise plans only: in Admin Center > Objects and rules > Custom objects > Vouchwell code > Permissions, give the custom roles that hand out codes view, add, edit and delete. Do the same for light agents if they should hand out codes. On Team, Growth and Professional, admins and agents already have these permissions.

  4. Recommended: on the same Permissions tab, set "Object list and search" to "Only admins", so agents get codes through Vouchwell rather than browsing the list.

  5. Open Vouchwell in the left navigation bar (admins). Create a pool (name, the text put in the reply, low-stock level, codes per ticket, optional groups or roles), then use Load codes to paste codes or read a .txt or .csv file (one code per line, optional expiry date in a second column).

  6. Agents: open a ticket and click Insert code in the Vouchwell sidebar. To use a macro, put [vouchwell:pool-key] in its reply text; the pool key is shown on the Pools tab.
  7. Optional settings (Admin Center > Apps and integrations > Zendesk Support apps > Vouchwell): fill macro placeholders automatically, stop saves with an unfilled placeholder (on by default), and how many minutes agents can release a code they inserted by mistake (default 60).

Zendesk keeps the "Vouchwell code" object and its records if you uninstall, so a reinstall picks up your pools, codes and history. To remove them, delete the object in Admin Center > Objects and rules > Custom objects.
