Step 1: Click Install to install the app to your account3Step 2: Initial Setup**1. Click the Auto Merge icon in your navigation bar2. Enter your company name (required)3. Select how you heard about us from dropdown4. Add admin phone (optional) and click Continue Setup

Step 3: OAuth2 Authorization⚠️ This step is required for the app to function:1. Click "Authorize Access" on the API Authorization screen2. Grant permissions3. Click "Allow" on Zendesk OAuth consent screen4. Verify "Connected" status appears on dashboard

Step 4: Create Your First Rule1. Click "Create New Rule" from dashboard2. Configure rule: • Rule Name: e.g., "Email Duplicates" • Status: Set to "Active" • Merge Direction: newtoold or oldtonew • Time Window: hours to look for duplicates (e.g., 24)3. Set matching criteria: • Requester (same customer) • Subject (similar subjects) • Custom Fields (if needed)4. Configure exclusions: • Exclude Tag: "nomerge" (optional) • Merged Tag: "automerged" (optional) • Exclude Statuses: "solved", "closed"5. Add comment templates (optional)6. Click "Save Rule"
