Data Access and Privacy

Zendesk Data Access

This app accesses the following Zendesk data to provide CTI functionality:

  • User Information: Email addresses, and roles for authentication and call routing

  • Ticket Data: Ticket IDs, customer information, and ticket status for call context and ticket creation

  • Organization Data: Company information for customer identification during calls

  • Custom Object Data: Custom fields and objects for enhanced CRM integration

Data Handling and Security

  • No Data Storage: We do NOT store, save, or retain any customer data in our systems. All data is processed in real-time only for CTI operations and is immediately discarded after use.

  • Secure Transmission: All data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) and secure protocols

  • Access Control: Data access is strictly limited to authenticated agents and authorized personnel only

  • Real-time Processing: Customer data exists only in memory during active CTI sessions and is never written to disk or databases

  • Compliance: We adhere to GDPR, CCPA, KVKK, and other relevant data protection regulations

  • Audit Logging: All data access is logged and monitored for security purposes

  • Third-Party Security: Our infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade security measures and SOC 2 compliance

  • Data Minimization: We only access the minimum data required to provide CTI functionality

Purpose of Data Access

The accessed data is used exclusively for:

  • Enabling click-to-call functionality from tickets

  • Displaying customer context during calls

  • Creating and updating tickets based on call outcomes

  • Providing agent productivity tools and reporting

  • Ensuring proper call routing and queue management

We do not use this data for marketing, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the CTI integration service.

Before you begin

Make sure you have an active AloTech subscription. Click if you don't have one! To Install + Sign in as an administrator to your Zendesk, then click the Admin icon in the navigation bar. + Under Apps, find the Softphone CTI by AloTech app. + On the Softphone CTI by AloTech app page, click Install App in the upper-right corner. + Put your AloTech tenant URL in the tenant field. +

How to create and enter a Custom Object Key

  • In Zendesk, go to the Admin Center.

  • Navigate to "Objects and rules" > "Custom objects".

  • Click "Add custom object" and fill in the required fields.

  • After creating the custom object, copy the "Key" value shown in the object details.

  • Paste this key into the "Custom Object Key" field during the app installation.

  • For adding custom fields to the custom object, please contact the AloTech team. They will assist you in adding the required fields.
